Prismatic, the BAE Systems-owned high-altitude aircraft specialist, has secured a £15.7 million contract from the UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency to test whether its PHASA-35 stratospheric aircraft can be kept airborne indefinitely using ground-based power beaming.
