The Ministry of Defence has announced a package of housing reforms intended to increase military family involvement in accommodation decisions, reduce bureaucratic processes and strengthen oversight of housing services. The changes form part of a £9.2 billion Defence Housing Strategy and will take effect as the new Defence Housing Service becomes formally established in April 2027.
