Babcock and quantum-encryption specialist Arqit have jointly demonstrated secure data transfer between a command centre and a deployed mortar system using quantum-safe encryption at the DVD 2026 event at Millbrook. The trial followed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies to explore integration of Babcock’s mission systems and systems integration capability with Arqit’s cryptographic and secure networking expertise.
