The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has delivered Phase 1 of a software-defined drone swarm demonstrator to the British Army, drawing on industry partnerships and AUKUS Pillar 2 collaboration. The trial establishes a capability test bed for autonomous systems deployment in forward-deployed intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance tasks.
