The NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) has participated in an exercise to demonstrate its capability to be transported by the Royal Air Force to any location globally. The NSRS is a tri-national government capability jointly owned by France, Norway and the UK, and represents one of the world’s leading submarine rescue systems. System capabilities and specifications Designed for full air-mobility, the NSRS can evacuate submariners from a submarine disabled on the seabed at depths of up to 610 metres.
