The United Kingdom has delivered a firm and direct statement to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, rejecting Russian attempts to portray increased European defence spending and NATO readiness as acts of aggression, and making clear that these are defensive measures taken in direct response to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
