AtkinsRéalis has been selected by Babcock International for its Global Engineering Services Framework, securing a five-year agreement that significantly extends a partnership of more than 15 years and moves the relationship well beyond its established foundations in defence infrastructure and nuclear-licensed facilities.
The framework covers Babcock’s full divisional breadth – nuclear, marine, land and aviation – and will see AtkinsRéalis delivering engineering services across some of the UK’s most operationally significant defence sites, including Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, Rosyth Royal Dockyard in Scotland, and HMNB Clyde. Beyond fixed infrastructure, the agreement explicitly extends into platform engineering and mission-critical systems – a meaningful expansion of scope that reflects where Babcock’s workload is evolving.
